1. Overview & Dropship Model
Scratch Golf operates as an authorized dealer and dropshipper of golf simulation equipment and accessories. This means most products in our catalog are shipped directly from manufacturers and authorized distributors rather than from our warehouse.
What This Means:
- Products are sourced directly from manufacturers and distribution partners
- Items typically ship from the manufacturer's facility or regional fulfillment center
- You may receive tracking information directly from the manufacturer
- Some items may arrive with manufacturer packaging rather than Scratch Golf packaging
- Delivery times may vary depending on the manufacturer's location and fulfillment capacity
This dropship model allows us to offer competitive pricing and a wide selection of products while maintaining inventory accuracy and reducing lead times.
2. Service Areas
Currently Served: Scratch Golf ships to all 50 United States and U.S. territories (including Alaska and Hawaii).
Not Currently Served: We do not currently offer international shipping outside the United States. Customers outside the US should not proceed with checkout on shopscratchgolf.com.
APO/FPO: We can ship to APO and FPO addresses for military personnel. APO/FPO orders are treated as domestic shipments and subject to standard shipping rates and delivery timeframes.
3. Shipping Methods and Delivery Times
Standard Shipping (Most Common)
The majority of Scratch Golf orders are shipped via Standard Shipping, which typically takes 5-14 business days from the date the order is placed. Delivery times depend on:
- The manufacturer or fulfillment center location
- The destination address (remote areas may take longer)
- Current shipping volume and carrier capacity
- Weekends and holidays (not counted as business days)
Note: Standard shipping does not include signature requirements or guaranteed delivery dates unless explicitly noted in the product description.
Expedited Shipping
Select items are available for expedited shipping with a typical delivery time of 2-5 business days from order placement. Expedited shipping options are clearly labeled on product listings and are available during checkout. Expedited shipping costs significantly more than standard shipping and may not be available for all items or destinations.
Delivery Timeframe Disclaimers
Estimated delivery dates provided are approximate and not guaranteed. Scratch Golf and its manufacturing partners are not liable for delays caused by carrier delays, weather, natural disasters, customs issues, or other unforeseen circumstances. Alaska and Hawaii orders typically require 1-3 additional business days. During peak seasons (holiday periods), standard delivery times may be extended by 2-5 business days.
4. Shipping Rates
Free Shipping
Orders over $500: All orders with a subtotal of $500 or more qualify for free standard shipping to continental US addresses. This promotion applies to the order subtotal before taxes and is automatically calculated at checkout.
Flat Rate Shipping
Orders under $500: Orders with a subtotal of less than $500 are subject to flat-rate shipping charges based on the destination region. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout and vary by:
- Destination (continental US, Alaska, Hawaii)
- Product weight and dimensions
- Shipping method selected
Flat-rate shipping charges are displayed during checkout before you complete your purchase. You will see the exact shipping cost for your specific order before submitting payment.
Alaska and Hawaii
Alaska and Hawaii orders are charged at a premium rate due to the increased distance and carrier costs. These charges are calculated automatically at checkout. Some items may incur additional oversize or weight-based fees when shipped to Alaska or Hawaii.
Taxes and Fees
Shipping rates do not include applicable sales taxes. Tax is calculated based on your shipping destination and applied during checkout. Some locations may add additional fees for remote delivery or special handling.
5. Order Processing Time
After your order is placed and payment is processed through Shopify, Scratch Golf must route the order to the appropriate manufacturer or fulfillment partner. This processing typically takes 1-2 business days. During this time:
- Your order is verified and confirmed
- Inventory is confirmed with the fulfillment source
- The order is routed to the manufacturer or fulfillment center
- Payment is confirmed and the order is queued for packing
Once processing is complete, the manufacturer or fulfillment partner will pack and ship your order. The 5-14 business day standard shipping timeline begins when the package ships from the fulfillment source, not when you place your order.
Note: Processing time does not include weekends or holidays. Orders placed late Friday may not be processed until Monday.
6. Tracking Information
Once your order ships from the manufacturer or fulfillment center, you will receive an email notification containing tracking information. This email is sent to the address you provided during checkout.
Tracking Details:
- A carrier tracking number (UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc.)
- A link to track your shipment in real-time
- Estimated delivery date range
- The carrier's name and contact information
You can track your order using the tracking number provided in the notification email. If you do not receive tracking information within 3 business days of placing your order, please contact support@shopscratchgolf.com.
7. Risk of Loss
Risk of loss transfers to you upon delivery of the package to your specified address. This means:
- Scratch Golf is not responsible for loss or damage after delivery to your address
- You should inspect the package for damage immediately upon delivery
- We recommend keeping the original packaging for warranty and return purposes
- You are responsible for securing delivery of the package to a safe location
If you are not present at delivery, the carrier may leave the package in a safe place at your discretion or hold it for pickup. Please check the carrier's instructions. Scratch Golf is not responsible for packages left unattended or in unsecured locations.
8. Damaged or Missing Items
Reporting Damage or Missing Items
If your package arrives damaged or with missing items:
- Take photographs of the damaged packaging and the contents
- Document the condition of the items and note any missing pieces
- Do not discard the packaging or packing materials
- Contact support@shopscratchgolf.com with photos and description within 5 days of delivery
Resolution Process
Upon receipt of your damage or missing item report, Scratch Golf will:
- Review your photographs and documentation
- File a claim with the carrier and/or manufacturer
- Send you a replacement item or provide a full refund
- In some cases, the carrier will require that you file a claim directly
Damage claims must be reported within 5 days of delivery. After 5 days, damage is presumed to have occurred after delivery and is no longer covered by the carrier. Claims reported after 5 days may still be accepted on a case-by-case basis at Scratch Golf's discretion.
9. Shipping Delays
While Scratch Golf strives to meet estimated delivery dates, we are not responsible for delays caused by:
- Carrier delays or service interruptions (UPS, FedEx, USPS)
- Adverse weather conditions
- Natural disasters or unforeseen events
- Address verification issues or incorrect delivery information
- Customs delays (for territories)
- Peak shipping season volume surges
- Manufacturer fulfillment center capacity issues
Extended Delays
If your order has not arrived within 30 days of the estimated delivery date, please contact support@shopscratchgolf.com. We will investigate the delay with the carrier and manufacturer and provide you with a status update or resolution options.
Scratch Golf reserves the right to issue a refund or replacement for orders that are significantly delayed (exceeding 45 days from the original ship date) at our sole discretion.
