Scratch Golf stands behind our products and wants you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you are not satisfied with your order, we offer a hassle-free return and refund process within 30 days of receiving your item. This policy explains our return and refund procedures, conditions, and timelines.

2. 30-Day Return Window

You have 30 calendar days from the date you receive your order to initiate a return. The return window begins on the delivery date shown in your tracking information, not the order date or ship date.

Example: If you receive your item on June 15, 2026, you must initiate your return request by July 15, 2026 (30 days later). Return requests submitted after this date will not be accepted.

To initiate a return, contact Scratch Golf at support@shopscratchgolf.com with your order number, itemization of items being returned, and reason for return. You will receive return instructions and a return authorization number via email.

3. Return Conditions

Acceptable Returns

Items are eligible for return if they meet ALL of the following conditions:

  • Unused: The item must be in unused, like-new condition with no signs of use, testing, or wear
  • Unopened: Original packaging must be unopened and factory sealed (if applicable)
  • Original Packaging: Item must be in the original manufacturer packaging or equivalent protective packaging
  • All Accessories: All included accessories, documentation, cables, and components must be present and unopen
  • Within 30 Days: Return request must be initiated within 30 days of delivery
  • Not Excluded: The item is not on our non-returnable items list

Unacceptable Returns

Items that do NOT meet the above conditions are not eligible for return, including:

  • Items that have been opened, used, or tested
  • Items with missing or damaged original packaging
  • Items with any signs of wear, handling, or installation
  • Items missing accessories, documentation, or components
  • Items damaged by customer handling (not manufacturer defects)
  • Items returned after 30 days from delivery
  • Items on the non-returnable list

4. Return Process

Step 1: Request Authorization

  • Your order number
  • Items being returned
  • Reason for return
  • Confirmation that item is unused and in original packaging

Step 2: Receive Return Authorization

Scratch Golf will review your request and respond within 24-48 hours with:

  • Approval or denial of the return
  • A return authorization (RA) number
  • Return address and shipping instructions
  • Information about any applicable restocking fees

Step 3: Ship the Return

Once authorized, ship the item to the return address provided. You must:

  • Include the return authorization (RA) number on the package label
  • Ship the item in original packaging when possible
  • Include all original accessories and documentation
  • Use a trackable shipping method
  • Keep your shipping receipt and tracking number

Step 4: Inspection and Processing

When we receive your return, we will:

  • Verify the return authorization number
  • Inspect the item for condition and completeness
  • Confirm it meets return eligibility standards
  • Process your refund or contact you if there are issues

5. Restocking Fees

Unopened Items (Unused)

No restocking fee: Items that are completely unopened and unused in original factory-sealed packaging are eligible for a full refund with no restocking fee deducted.

Opened Items (Unused)

Restocking fee applies: If an item has been opened but not used, a restocking fee of up to 15-20% of the purchase price may be deducted from your refund. The specific restocking fee will be communicated when your return is authorized.

Calculation: If you purchased an item for $100 with a 15% restocking fee, you would receive a refund of $85 ($100 - $15).

Restocking Fee Waiver

Scratch Golf may waive restocking fees on a case-by-case basis for:

  • Items returned due to product defects or manufacturer errors
  • Items damaged during shipping (carrier's fault)
  • Items that do not match the product description
  • Items with demonstrable quality issues

6. Return Shipping

Customer Pays Return Shipping (Standard)

In most cases, the customer is responsible for paying return shipping costs. This means you must arrange and pay for the return shipment to get your item back to our fulfillment center. Return shipping costs are deducted from your refund.

Use a trackable shipping method (UPS, FedEx, USPS Tracked) so you can monitor delivery and confirm receipt. Keep your shipping receipt and tracking number for your records.

Free Return Shipping (Exceptions)

Scratch Golf will cover return shipping costs (or issue a shipping refund) if:

  • The item was defective or damaged due to manufacturer error (not customer handling)
  • The item was damaged during initial shipment by the carrier
  • The item does not match the product description
  • The return is due to Scratch Golf's error

7. Refund Processing Timeline

Processing Steps and Timeline

1. Inspection (1-3 business days): Once we receive your return, we inspect the item to verify it meets return conditions.

2. Approval (1 business day): After inspection, we approve the refund or contact you if issues arise (missing items, damage, etc.).

3. Refund Issuance (1 business day): Once approved, we initiate the refund to your original payment method. Scratch Golf processes refunds within 1 business day of inspection approval.

4. Refund Posting (5-10 business days): After Scratch Golf initiates the refund, it typically takes 5-10 business days for the refund to appear in your bank account or credit card statement. Your financial institution handles this final step.

Total Timeline

Total estimated timeframe: 8-16 business days from when we receive your return to when the refund appears in your account. This timeline includes:

  • Shipping time for your return package (varies by location)
  • Our inspection and processing (3-5 business days)
  • Bank/credit card processing (5-10 business days)

Refund Notification

You will receive an email confirmation when:

  • Your return is received and entered into our system
  • Your return is approved or if there are issues
  • Your refund has been processed

8. Defective Items and Manufacturer Warranty

Manufacturer Warranty

All products sold by Scratch Golf are covered by the manufacturer's original warranty. Warranty coverage varies by product and manufacturer, typically ranging from 1-3 years depending on the item.

What Manufacturer Warranty Covers: Defects in materials and workmanship under normal use conditions. This typically includes component failures, electronics malfunctions, and structural defects.

What Manufacturer Warranty Does NOT Cover: Damage from misuse, improper installation, accidents, environmental factors, or wear and tear from normal use.

Reporting Defective Items

If you receive a defective item or discover a defect within 30 days of delivery:

  1. Contact support@shopscratchgolf.com with photos and description of the defect
  2. We will determine if the defect qualifies for replacement or warranty claim
  3. For warranty coverage beyond 30 days, contact the manufacturer directly
  4. Scratch Golf can provide manufacturer contact information and support

Defective Item Resolution

If an item is confirmed defective within the 30-day return window, Scratch Golf will:

  • Send a replacement item at no cost (including return shipping)
  • Process a full refund with no restocking fee
  • Or facilitate a manufacturer warranty claim at manufacturer's cost

9. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are NOT eligible for return:

  • Custom orders or items made to order
  • Clearance or final sale items (clearly marked at purchase)
  • Items used, opened, or tested
  • Items returned after 30 days from delivery
  • Personalized or engraved items
  • Digital downloads or software licenses
  • Gift cards and store credit
  • Items purchased from third-party sellers through Scratch Golf (follow third-party return policies)
