Impact Screen
Your Display Surface and Ball StopThe impact screen serves two purposes: it absorbs the energy of a golf ball traveling up to 200 mph, and it acts as the projection surface for your simulator image. A good screen balances durability, image quality, and noise dampening.
Screens are made from tightly woven polyester, nylon, or specialty fabrics. Higher thread count and specific weave patterns improve image clarity (less light bleed-through) while maintaining strength. Screen thickness, backing layers, and grommet placement all affect longevity. Most screens are white or light gray for optimal projection.
Standard Woven
Durable polyester or nylon weave. Good balance of price, durability, and image quality. Most common choice for home setups.
Premium High-Definition
Tighter weave with reduced light pass-through for sharper projected images. Often includes noise-dampening layers. Ideal if image quality is priority.
Commercial Grade
Heaviest-duty construction for high-traffic environments (clubs, bars, commercial venues). Maximum lifespan but higher cost.
